First Meeting Held for Upcoming 60th Class Reunion

(posted 4/26/18) ROCKFORD, IL — Like clockwork, another major reunion for the Class of 59 will be due in 2019 to maintain our traditional five year reunion cycle. There have been eleven of these events so far and the reunion committee has begun work to make this the best one ever!

The first meeting was held at Pete Zammuto's house in Rockford with Pete's wife Paula (West High class of 58) recording the minutes. In attendance were Jim and Mary Lou (Spinello) White, Mary Ann (Cacciatore) Vincent, Gerry Mastroianni, Sue (Jarrett) Martinetti, Pete Zammuto, Earlynne (Morris) Desmond (not in photo), and Ron Ingrassia on the speaker-phone from Florida. Others who will be attending future meetings are DeAnne (Lind) Kudzma and Joanne (Zander) Finley.

Much was accomplished in this first meeting as the most important item on the agenda was to choose a date and place. After considering many factors, it was decided to continue with the success we had with the last reunion and to again go with the Hoffman House/Holiday Inn subject to availability on desired dates. Pete was tasked with negotiating the final arrangements.

Days later, Pete completed the negotiations and confirmed Friday August 23rd and Saturday August 24th 2019 for our 60th reunion. The celebration will be held at the Rockford, IL Hoffman House/Holiday Inn both days. A block of rooms at the Holiday Inn will be reserved in the future for classmates who may need them.

Over the next several months there will be reunion related mailings both emails and regular mail to serve as reminders particularly for those who do long range planning and may live far from Rockford. Some of these mailings are necessary to verify and update the contact and personal information that will be used for the reunion directory that we publish every five years. You can all be very helpful if you review your personal contact information by selecting the "MEMBER" link from the home page and if there are changes, email them to the email address indicated on the "CONTACT US" page. Note that the personal information on this website is the most current information we have about you and it will be used to publish the paper reunion directory distributed at the time of the reunion.
